10 days and counting...

I can hardly believe it...10 days, and we will be on our way to Alabama!! Just a few more rooms to pack, and we will be all set. I have butterflies thinking about it and our cute little house. It will require some adjustment on my part to get used to a place half as big as our current house, but it will also be nice to clean--compared to now!! I can't wait to get there for Maw Maw...I worry about her all day, every day, and want to be there with her!

Loving Spanx...

I have a formal event for work, so I bought a pair of Spanx to wear under my evening gown.  I was skeptical, but wanted a little help "sucking it all in" :)  I tried them on today....and voila!!!  Madison said "Mom, how did you get so skinny??"  LOL...I think they must have done the trick!  I even easily got on a pair of jeans that have been too tight.....love it!!

Hollywood...

This was on the way to take Madison to preschool this morning...So much like her sister, it's scary...



Pretty girl rock...

So, Madison's new favorite song is "Pretty Girl Rock"....she was just standing in my door shaking her booty singing "pretty girl rock, rock, rock"...."pretty girl rock, rock, rock"..."don't hate me cuz I'm beautiful"....that song is SO HER!!!

My husband...

I am so thankful for my husband and him supporting my desire to move close to my family and friends. We have had some rough patches, and we've both wanted to strangle each other at times... Right now, I've never felt more loved, and we are both happy with our decision to move South.

This song makes me think of my own girls one day, but also Patrick...

Flower show...

Today, we went to the Flower Show in Portland with our neighbors--Bill and Margot. We wanted to spend some time together before we get busy packing up to move. We will truly miss them...they have been such a blessing to have next door, and the girls adore them.

Our weekend...

This weekend, we had lots of lazy, relaxing, family time. We were worried about Maw Maw, so stayed around to get updates. She was released from the hospital today!! Here are a few pictures of our weekend...Bella playing with "peacock feathers" on her head, Madison asleep in the car when we were out to get icecream, the girls snuggled with Patrick...

Praying for Maw Maw....

So, Maw Maw has been having dizzy spells for a little while, and she went back to the doctor yesterday. They want to do an MRI and some other testing on her brain and corotaid arteries to look at activity and blood flow. There is a concern she may have had mini-strokes. I am trying not to think about it, because they are not saying it's for sure at all, but am worried about my dear, sweet, Maw Maw...She doesn't know that doctor is concerned about mini-strokes, because she was already scared and doctor didn't want to scare her further until they know. The thought of Maw Maw and Paw Paw getting older and going through more and more stuff like this is unbearable to think about...but I know is reality.
